Yale Material Handling Corporation had the honor of being selected by Food Logistics and named on their 2016 Top Green Provider list. Recognized for its lithium-ion and hydrogen fuel cell power solutions, Yale makes the list for the fourth consecutive year.
Yale stands out in the lift truck industry by offering the first commercially available UL-recognized lithium-ion battery pack. Lasting up to five times longer than traditional lead-acid batteries, this maintenance-free lithium-ion option does not contain acid or require water and still reduces battery replacements and landfill waste. This option also requires no off-gassing or cooling time, making it suitable for charging on-site and in-transit without experiencing negative memory effects.
Yale offers a wide range of services including Yale Vision wireless asset management, fleet management, parts, training and financing. “In addition to reducing environmental impact, alternative power solutions are an increasingly attractive option to overcome key business challenges,” says Mick McCormick, Vice President of Warehouse Solutions for Yale.
Other power solutions by Yale include hydrogen fuel cell lift trucks that produce harmless emission and only require three minutes to refuel compared to a 15 to 30 minute lead-acid battery replacement.
The 2016 Food Logistics Green Providers list is an annual guide to recognize companies with products, services and impeccable leadership that increase support within the food and beverage industry.
