Barclay Brand Ferdon Hosting AIB Food Safety Training Seminar
AIB Food Safety Training Seminar
On June 7, 2011 Barclay will host (in its South Plainfield, NJ Training Center) a one day seminar focused on AIB Food Safety Training for Food, Grocery & Beverage DC and 3rd Party Logistics providers. The seminar was developed to better facilitate the needs of customers in the food industry, especially those specializing in food & beverage processing, packaging, and storage distribution centers.
As part of Barclay’s Training & Educational Department, this customized one day training seminar is designed to assist in the preparation for future AIB International audits. AIB International is an internationally recognized Food Safety Audit organization. The program is intended to help attendees keep up to date on the ever-changing needs of the food and beverage industry. To comply with most recent government regulations, companies must meet food safety requirements and pass annual inspections.
This seminar will be conducted by an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer and Certified Food Defense Coordinator and will provide a variety of training techniques to assist in passing an AIB safety audit. The seminar will emphasize Sanitation, Pest Control Programs, Record Keeping, Training Requirements and Regulations. In addition, the seminar will touch on Building & Grounds Walkthrough Checklists, Customer Complaints, as well as Food Plant Defense, Recall, Traceability and Hazard Communication Programs. Barclay also offers customized material handling safety training courses as well as consultation sessions to meet the specific safety needs of customers.
“We are committed to bringing relevant programs that promote Safety to the NJ & NY markets we serve,” said Bill Shaw, Director of Sales & Fleet Services. Barclay Brand Ferdon is a “one source” distributor in New Jersey and New York for all warehousing equipment and support services.
